Pregnancy Care Matters

Prenatal and postpartum care help moms and babies get the support they need before, during and after pregnancy. Regular prenatal visits give your provider time to monitor your health, follow your baby’s growth, answer your questions and identify concerns early.

After delivery, postpartum care helps you recover, adjust to life with your baby and receive support for your physical and emotional health. With VamosMamá, you do not have to navigate pregnancy or postpartum care alone.

More affordable care
A lower-cost alternative to cash-pay prenatal care, which can cost up to $5,000.

Support for mom’s health
Regular visits help identify concerns early and support recovery after delivery.

A healthier start for baby
Prenatal care helps monitor growth and support your baby’s development.

Peace of mind
Know what to expect, who to call and where to turn throughout your pregnancy.

Kimberly Garcia, DNP, Midwife

Meet Your Midwife

Dr. Kimberly Garcia is a bilingual DNP, CNM, FACNM, & WHNP who has been practicing for more than 15 years. She has been director of the CNM and WHNP programs at the University of Utah and Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio where she is from. Dr. Garcia is also vice-president and co-founder of Madre y Nino, a non-profit organization that aims to improve health outcomes in the remote Peten region of Guatemala, partially by training lay midwives and conducting research.

Dr. Garcia has published more than 20 articles and presented her research from Guatemala at international, national, regional, and local conferences. Before becoming a nurse, Dr. Garcia was a bilingual journalist in Texas and Wisconsin. Her undergraduate degree is in English and Spanish literature from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. The family of Dr. Garcia's father is from Spain. Thus, Hispanic patients are near and dear to her heart. She is profoundly satisfied to serve these patients at Vamos Health, particularly because the organization's mission of providing quality care to underserved populations deeply aligns with her values.
